Very moist unstable air continues to produce showers and
thunderstorms over the Central coast. Snow Levels are about 1500
feet in the heaviest showers. Total accumulations between 6 to 8
inches are expected by dawn tomorrow at elevations above 3000 Feet
and 2 to 4 inches are expected between 1500 and 3000 Feet. Five
inches have been reported at mount Hamilton and Highway 130 has been
closed. Four inches were reported at the Skyline blvd Preserve.
reports from the Highway 17 Summit indicate that heavy snow was
continuing to fall. Reports from the surrounding area indicate about
2 inches have fallen as of Noon. Tonight snow could fall as low as
sea level as showers in the Monterey bay area Increase.
