Baby Turtles!
10 baby red-bellied side-necks (Emycura Subglobosa) hatched Monday, 7/22/02 in the Australian Lungfish tank. They are doing well, but have been transfered to one of the fresh water hospital tanks in order to better feed and keep track of them. The red-bellied side-necks are native to Australia and New Guinea. They are primarily aquatic but will come out of the water to bask. Almost exclusively carnivorous, these turtles will eat worms, molluscs, fish, tadpoles, and more.
